LAURENCE Fox, star of ITV’s Lewis, was spotted taking some time out from filming in Oxford yesterday afternoon.

The actor, who plays Detective Sergeant James Hathaway in the crime series, was spotted fishing on the river behind Oxford’s ice rink.

The series, set in Oxford, is a spin-off from popular series Inspector Morse and stars Kevin Whately as Det Sgt Hathaway’s boss Insp Lewis.

The new series is being filmed at locations around Oxford over the next few months. Mr Fox is married to Doctor Who star Billie Piper.
