South West Division 1

Chinnor skipper James Davies won his first toss for ages - and it was to prove a crucial one as his team came away with their first-ever win at Dorchester.

Davies chose to face a strong blustery wind in the first half and Chinnor's two tries were sufficient to give them a 10-0 victory.

The home side's vigorous approach cost them dear as their captain was sent off for punching, although it appeared the referee had singled out the wrong player.

Chinnor took advantage by taking the lead as winger Charlie Oyebade ran 50 metres to score the first try.

Then a simple pick-up from the back of a scrum by No 8 Paul Hennessy and a quick pass to scrum half Ger Phillips opened up a gap for Louw Kruger to scamper over wide out.

Although Chinnor, who had hooker Paul Kelly sin-binned, dominated the second half, they were kept at bay by a dogged and determined Dorchester defence.
