Jefferson Louis has given Thame United a terrific boost ahead of tonight's Ryman Division 1 derby with Oxford City.

The big striker was due to play for Oxford United's reserve side at Crystal Palace yesterday, meaning he would have played two games in 24 hours.

However, bad weather saw the game postponed, delighting Thame boss Andy Sinnott.

"It's a major boost for us. It means he will be fresher. It just means the threat he could have been injured is taken away," said Sinnott. "The last thing I would have wanted to do was to pull him out of the game."

Sinnott added: "Both sides are in good form at the moment. There is always a lot of pride at stake in these games."

Rob Smith is expected to shake off a knock, while Danny Curran is added to the squad.

Oxford City will be without key defender Lewis Craker, who serves a one match ban for too many bookings.

Matty Hayward (knee operation) and Michael Thorp (cracked ribs) are already out. Nick McRae, John Mitchell and midfielder Danny Wise return to the fold.

City boss Paul Lee said: "We are looking forward to it because we haven't lost to them on the last four occasions."

Abingdon Town aim to make it four Division 3 home wins in a row when Egham Town visit Culham Road.

Manager Alan Thorne said: "Egham will be a good test of how far we have progressed."

There are injury doubts over Dave Tregurtha (groin) and Neil Greig (bruised foot). Ally Smith is unavailable due to work commitments.
