Drivers were warned to take extra care on the roads today as gale force winds and heavy rain lashed Oxfordshire during the night.
They were warned to be on the lookout for areas of water and fallen trees. County council workmen were called out to remove a tree which came down on the A40 between Oxford and Wheatley.
