Detectives are hunting a man who robbed a female shop worker at gunpoint.

He threatened the woman at Budgens Express in London Road, Headington, Oxford, on Saturday, March 15, with a handgun and demanded money. He was given a three-figure sum in notes and left the shop.

The shop assistant, who was in her early 20s, was not injured but was terrified by her ordeal, at 2am.

Shop manager John Lord said: "She's very badly shaken up. She's had a couple of days off and she's extremely nervous about coming back on duty. We are trying to give her as much support as we possibly can."

The gun was about 30cm long, and was initially wrapped in a beige or brown cloth.

The offender was slim, white and about 6ft tall.

He wore two bandanas. The bandana covering his forehead was dark blue with white spots. A red bandana with white spots covered his mouth.

He wore a blue hooded top with a large white, red and blue motif on the back. He also wore blue tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

He was followed out of the shop by two unidentified men who were inside before the robbery. Both were white, of medium build, aged 19 to 20.

The first was about 5ft 6in tall, wore a cream baseball cap, green zip-up jacket, cream sweatshirt, cream tracksuit bottoms and dark trainers. The second was clean shaven, wore a grey woolly hat, blue sweatshirt, light-coloured trainers and green or cream tracksuit bottoms.
