Cameron's wife tells of his 'irritating habits'

David Cameron and his wife Samantha have given a revealing glimpse into their personal life as the General Election campaign intensifies.

In an interview for tonight’s Trevor McDonald Meets David Cameron, on ITV1, the Witney MP and Tory leader said he considered giving up politics after the death of his disabled son Ivan last year.

He also insisted he would be ruthless enough to sack his “good friend”, shadow chancellor George Osborne, and admitted Labour’s efforts to mock his image have been effective.

Meanwhile, Mrs Cameron praised her husband’s strength and kindness – but said he had “very irritating habits” such as being messy at home.

All very nice and fluffy. He still hasn't come out with any actual firm policies yet though. He's just Lord Ashcroft's puppet.
Aligning yourself with fascist Eastern European parties who stage events glorifying the Nazi SS is not bright either.

He seems like a very nice man to me, always very smartly dressed and polite. He will look much better on T.V. at those important world meetings than that scruffy Mr Broon.
