Oxford shopworker sentenced for thefts


A MAN who put false refunds through the till of an Oxford shop was sentenced at the city's crown court yesterday.

Peter Bower, 26, of Barton Village Road, admitted five charges of theft from June to October last year at Cargo, in Banbury Road, Summertown.

Bower must pay £182 compensation, £300 costs and do 100 hours’ community work.

He will also be subject to a daily curfew from 10pm to 6am.
