Jordan Flynn picked up the best boxer of the night award as Berinsfield ABC staged their dinner-show at the BMW Club in Cowley.

The club’s first National Schoolboy champion claimed a unanimous decision over fellow title holder Connor McKinnon at the end of a pulsating encounter between two polished practitioners both wearing their England international vests.

Ciaran Flanagan celebrated his 12th birthday with a clear victory over fellow Thames Valley debutant Aaron Iles, using his extra reach to full effect as he recorded the first of nine Berinsfield wins.

And Edward Reilly, 13, also saw his arm raised on his ring debut against Willenhall’s Reace Madden.

Flyweight Tom Laurie-Lynch collected the third consecutive junior success for the host gym by beating Thames Valley opponent Lewis Powell, while teenage middleweight Brendan Gorman took a split over St Pancras rival Martin Archer.

Liam Joseph controlled his clash with Sean Wood and featherweight Josh Lock, 14, edged a close encounter with Keelan Hainey.

There were also two senior wins for the Berinsfield contingent – lightweight Tomas McDonagh getting the better of Thames Valley’s Chris Haines and featherweight Harley Mace outpointing Finchley’s Ozzie Yiacoup.
