I would like to say a very big thank you to our local Labour politicians who organised a public meeting for residents to have their say on the CPZ in East Oxford.

They went way beyond the call of duty by paying for the hall hire out of their own pockets.

Without the kindness of John Tanner, Saj Malik, Mike Rowley and Pat Kennedy, residents would have been left without a voice since the orchestrators of the hated scheme have not replied to some plaintive emails.

A lot of interesting points were made at the debate and it seems that the primary aim of the parking zone is to raise revenue, rather than to improve the lives of residents.

The Conservatives and the Green Party seem to think the CPZ is a good thing but we, the residents, beg to differ.
