A family and their dog escaped from their home after a faulty tumble dryer caused a fire in a utility room.
The couple and their two children were alerted by smoke alarms and left the house, in Folly Court, Main Street, Sibford Ferris, north Oxfordshire, through a pre-planned escape route.
Fire crews were called to the blaze at 12.08am today.
Crew manager Joe Williams said: “We want to praise the family for their quick actions in evacuating and want to remind all residents of the importance of working smoke alarms.”
