A WOULD-BE robber scratched a teenage girl in the face after demanding cash.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old girl was attacked by a man in an alleyway off Cardinal Close, Littlemore, at 6pm on Saturday.

The man asked for cash but she explained she did not have any so he scratched her on the face with a sharp object, possibly a small knife.

He was about 5ft 8in tall, skinny, in his 20s, with thin black hair and was wearing black Nike gloves with a tick on the rear of the hand, and a thin jacket.
