The wife of a councillor and businessman who died suddenly has paid tribute to a “wonderful family man”.

Father-of-two Dave King, who represented Carterton north west on West Oxfordshire District Council, passed away on Saturday, October 31.

More than 250 people attended the 50-year-old’s funeral earlier this month.

Tonight, his wife Mandy said her husband’s death was a big loss to the local community.

Mr King’s seat is due for re-election on May 6 and there are no plans to hold a by-election.
