CHARITY worker Peter Corcoran got an amazing view of Oxfordshire from 12,500ft up.
Mr Corcoran, 45, who has had two kidney transplants and is blind in one eye, achieved a lifetime ambition to do a parachute jump.
The feat helped raise £800 for the Oxford transplant unit that changed his life.
About 30 friends and family members turned out at Weston-on-the-Green airfield to watch Mr Corcoran, of Purslane Drive, Bicester, complete a tandem skydive.
Mr Corcoran said: “It was brilliant. I didn’t feel scared until they opened the door at 12,500 ft – two-and-a-half miles up.
“I felt I could see the whole of Oxfordshire – even with my sight problems. It was exhilarating.”
Mr Corcoran, who volunteers at the British Heart Foundation shop in Bicester and is training to be a mentor with Smart, the Substance Misuse and Referral Team, added: “I want to say a big thank you to everyone who supported me.”
