Fun and games with Wantage Pyjama Drama

A MUM from Wantage has launched an acting class for toddlers, using her experience as a TV actress and primary school teacher.

Sophie Allegretti has more than 20 years’ acting experience and has starred in Holby City and with Lenny Henry in TV series Chef.

Now she has started Pyjama Drama, aimed at children aged two and over to learn drama skills.

Ms Allegretti, a former primary school teacher at St Swithun’s School, Kennington, said: “Confidence, self-esteem, creativity and the ability to take the initiative and think on your feet are vital skills. The classes encourage children to use their imaginations and develop these social skills.” Pyjama Drama is held in two age groups, two to three, and three to five, in The Butler Centre, Church Street, Wantage.
