Burka robbers raid jewellery shop

Armed robbers - including one wearing a burka - raided a Banbury jewellery shop for the second time in five months stealing £150,000 of expensive watches.

Three men, one believed to have a handgun and another an axe, threatened staff at Michael Jones, in High Street, at 2.20pm today.

The men, all believed to be Asian, escaped in a waiting black Audi estate car in the direction of Broad Street.

The car was later found abandoned in Western Crescent, in the High Town Road area of Banbury.

The other men were all wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered.

Police in Bedfordshire have issued CCTV of robbers who wore black burkas to steal money from two travel agents at knifepoint, wonder if they were the same. It was only a matter of time before this type of disguise was used, just very surprised it hasn't happened before.

Isn't it time we banned burkas? We've been generous enough allowing non-Christian places of worship, but given we'd never be allowed to walk round in miniskirts and skimpy tops in Muslim countries, then they shouldn't be permitted to wear burkas here.

I don't want to walk around in a mini skirt in Muslim Counties!

Couldn't we ban those horrible underpants things that young women with BIG legs insist on wearing, as well?

Roger, you've hit it on the head.

Any woman who is over a size 12 should never wear leggings and if they do, they should be flogged in the market square.

Why do they do it man...WHY?
