THE sounds and tastes of South India were brought together to raise awareness of conflict in Sri Lanka.
More than 150 people joined the evening of South Indian music at Eynsham Village Hall, on Saturday.
There was also dancing followed by a three-course Indian meal.
The evening was designed to raise awareness and money for the Medecins Sans Frontieres for its work in Sri Lanka.
An event spokesman Dr Athee Sivananthan said: “It was uplifting.”
The event was organised by Dr Kannaiyan Rabindranath and members of the Oxford Tamil Society.
