Man falls down reservoir bank

Emergency services are currently dealing with a man who has fallen down a concrete embankment at Farmoor Reservoir.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene, near Eynsham, at 6.05pm.

An ambulance service spokesman said the man, believed to be in his 50s, had fallen and suffered back injuries.

He said: “He has fallen and ended up on the embankment. We know he hit concrete.

“Where the heavens have opened and it’s got quite wet, it has become quite dangerous to get to him so we have had to call in the fire service to help.”
