HEALTH officials in Oxfordshire last night released a possible list of priority groups for swine flu vaccines. A vaccination is expected to be ready late in August or early September, but it has yet to be decided how people in the county will get it.
Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust last night stressed the priority list was only suggestions which the Department of Health would confirm.
The order is:
* Individuals at particular risk, including those with serious heart, kidney, liver or lung disease, long-term health problems like diabetes, or weakened immune systems from chemotherapy or HIV/Aids)
* Mums-to-be in second and third trimester
* Health and social care workers directly involved in patient care
* Other health and social care workers * Children aged three years to 16 years
* People aged 65 and over
* Poultry workers
* The rest of the population.
