A FLOCK of geese have taken up residence in a Kidlington school — but don’t expect them to fly off anywhere.
The five geese have been created out of recycled materials as part of an art project at Gosford Hill School organised by charity Kids @ Art.
A group of about 20 Year Eight and Nine students spent a week working with artist in residence Madi Acharya-Baskerville to produce the geese — which were inspired by the school’s logo.
The sculptures were made with cane and chicken wire then decorated by weaving netting, buttons and ribbons into the structure.
Three of the geese have been suspended in the trees near the school’s entrance, while two are on the ground, welcoming people to the school.
Namok said: “The project was very new and challenging for me but I really enjoyed doing it and I think it was great to build on my experience of art.”
