Campaigners angry at the closure of Oxford Community Hospital are urging patients and their families to attend a meeting of the Oxfordshire joint health overview and scrutiny committee at West Oxfordshire District Council’s offices in Witney tomorrow.
The meeting starts at 10am.
The hospital closed in May last year following a series of superbug outbreaks. Six months later, Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust said it had abandoned plans to find a replacement facility in the city.
The PCT is expected to confirm that alternative provision of in-patient beds at a care home in the city and other community hospitals in the county has proved insufficient.
