A knife-wielding robber raided an Oxford off-licence, days after another robbery at the store.

A man walked into Threshers, in Old High Street, Headington, at 7.30pm yesterday, and threatened the cashier with the knife and demanded cash.

The cashier opened the till and the man took the money before leaving the shop. He rode off on a black bicycle.

The robber wore a hooded top with a mask covering his face and brown leather gloves. He was described as 5ft 10in and of medium build.

Detectives are linking it with the robbery at the off-licence six days before.

Investigating officer Det Sgt George Mynehan said: “I appeal to anyone who was in this area of Headington last night and saw a man matching this description and acting suspiciously, to contact police immediately.

“We believe that this robbery could be connected with the robbery that happened at the shop on December 29 but are appealing for witnesses and following up every line of inquiry.”

Anyone with information should call police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
