Simple system

With reference to your article 'Simplicity rejected by council'. Independent councillor Richard Chapman is to be congratulated for his suggestion of achieving a fairer political balance in Swanley's Council sub-committees and I hope Labour councillor Bryan Harrod's comment “let's stick as we are at the moment and reassess it later” is questioned by other councillors. Surely any simple change which will achieve a fairer political balance should be considered sooner rather than later so representation for all of Swanley's residents can be achieved?
