IT now seems inevitable that cases offoot-and-mouth will be confirmed in Cumbria in the next 24-hours accordingto Justin Hawkins, The Westmorland Gazette farmingreporter.
Government vets have confirmed the presence of thevirus on a farm at Withnell, near Chorley in Lancashire.
Newcases have also been reported in County Durham, Anglesey andNorthamptonshire.
