The RAF thanked the families of its airmen and women for their support with a spectacular display of gratitude.
RAF Benson's annual Families' Day was a private treat for the nearest and dearest of service personnel. The RAF Falcons dropped in to open last week's display, and hundreds of onlookers watched pilots flying Chinook, Hunter, Spitfire, Messerschmitt and Hercules aircraft.
The Red Arrows and the Blades Aerobatic Team also showed off their talents to the crowd.
There was also a static display of vintage aircraft, an auction of promises, hangar party and firework display.
More than £3,500 was raised at the event for the charity Combat Stress, the RAF Benevolent Fund and the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust.
Station commander Group Captain Paul Lyall said: "This is our way of thanking our families and loved ones for their continued support over a very busy and demanding year."
