Village hall damaged in blaze

Arsonists are thought to be behind a fire at a village hall in west Oxfordshire last night.

Firefighters were called to the building in West Street, Kingham, at 8.05pm.

The blaze was contained in the first floor of the hall and was dealt with by crews from Chipping Norton, Banbury and Charlbury.

Well Neds; why are you hanging around here, causing problems to all in the village?

Well mister; we ain't got nowhere to go since we burnt down the Village Hall.

There used to be a youth centre and group meetings there!

Well, but, no, yes, no, aint, innit!

Wot you lookin' at?

Kept us warm for a while.
