Police were called to Banbury Railway Station twice on Saturday after a high demand for cabs to the Gatecrasher Festival in Westbury caused tempers to flare.
At 2.30pm officers resolved a minor disturbance between what was believed to be an unlicensed cab driver and licensed drivers, a Thames Valley Police spokesman said.
Three officers returned to the station at 4.55pm to resolve complaints about 13 cabs blocking access to the station for buses and other vehicles, the spokesman added.

Cartel? Hardly. Hackney carriage (ie black cab) charges are set by councils, not the drivers.

Illegal? Certainly; but if the local Asian Taxi Cartel do not wish to take the fares what is the answer?
Free enterprise is alive and living and I personally support it.
The local licensed taxi drivers refused on many occassions to accept the fare to Brackley because of the return journey not being productive in monetary terms.
I am unsure of their rights as a licensed taxi operator, so cannot say anymore than state the facts.
Perhaps someone with legal knowledge may assist me?
