Major rail delays between Oxford and Didcot

Rail passengers travelling between Oxford and Didcot experienced major delays this morning after engineering works over-ran.

The work being carried out by Network Rail in the Hinksey area was not completed in time to reopen the line for the morning rush-hour.

Passengers arriving at Oxford were forced to get the bus to Didcot Parkway until 8am when some services started again but delays were expected until at least 10am.
