AN Indian takeaway owner is providing young carers in Oxfordshire free takeaways every month.
Hasnath Miah, who runs Indian Dream in Didcot, is giving away free food for carers registered with the charity Be Young Carers.
The charity, based at Harwell Innovation Centre in Didcot, supports young carers across the county.
Mr Miah is providing the first of the takeaways today (27) and hopes to provide the free service once a month.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “Didcot's local legend Hasnath of Indian Dream is back giving our Be Free Young Carers free takeaways again.

“As keen as ever to support our young carers, Hasnath is giving away takeaways of delicious food every month to our young carers.
Thank you always Hasnath for all your support. We are so grateful for another year of your help.”
Mr Miah has given away almost 9,000 free meals to the town since the start of the coronavirus pandemic and also donated £500 to food banks in Didcot and Abingdon after the community reimbursed him for a phone that was stolen from the restaurant.

After a rise in the cost of food, Mr Miah has been using his own wages to continue providing free meals for people who need it.
