PARAMEDICS in the Thames Valley are being deployed to London to help the capital keep up with the high demand of 999 calls.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) control room teams are also answering urgent calls from London as well as the Thames Valley.

Writing on Facebook SCAS said: “A number of our ambulance crews are now logging on for their day or night shifts and heading to the capital to support London Ambulance Service NHS Trust with its increased demand for urgent and emergency care.
"Our emergency control room teams are also providing support to our London colleagues by answering some of the 999 calls from Londoners.
"Whilst some of our staff are travelling far from home, please ensure you don't. Enjoy the warmer weather today in your garden or get some fresh air and exercise in your immediate local area."
