Crews put out car fire caused by 'mechanical defect'
FIRE crews scrambled to a car in flames near Bicester in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Firefighters from Bicester and Banbury dealt with the car fire just off the roundabout at Baynards Green on the B4100 before 5am.

The blaze was caused by a 'mechanical defect' and the driver managed to pull over and get out safely before alerting emergency services to his location.
Firefighters using breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using hosereels.
