Caribbean food, sports stars and gladiatorial combat will be just some of the many attractions on offer at a huge outdoor event in Oxford.
Up to 4,000 people are expected to descend on Blackbird Leys for the annual Leys Fair, links in with the 50th anniversary of the estate's creation, on Saturday.
A sporting event aimed at introducing adults and children to games will run alongside the event - and provide an opportunity to meet an Olympic medallist up close.
Sports on offer will include netball, skater hockey and badminton, which will act as an introduction to weekly sports classes being run in the Blackbird Leys Leisure Centre in Pegasus Road from next week. Mark Richardson, who won bronze and silver medals in the 4x400m in the 1992 and 1996 Olympics respectively, will join England cricketer Claire Taylor in the leisure centre to meet youngsters from the estate.
The Leys Fair will run from noon to 5pm, with the sporting event beginning and ending an hour earlier.
