DANIEL Jenkins starred with two of City of Oxford’s three gold medals in the Swim England National Summer Meet at Sheffield.
The 17-year-old won both 200m freestyle and 200m backstroke in his age group.
In the freestyle final, Jenkins stormed back from seventh on the final turn to win by 0.04secs. He then completed the double with a more straightforward win in the backstroke.
Other City of Oxford boys to make the podium were Max Bolcato, who took silver in the 16 years 100m butterfly, and Chris Sims, who was second in the 15 years 200m breaststroke.
City’s other gold came from Yasmin Tajalli, who stormed to victory in the 17 and over 50m freestyle sprint.
Emily Ford, 16, collected silver in the100m butterfly and a bronze in the 50m race.
There were also medals for sisters Delphine and Maia Little.
Delphine, 15, took silver in the 100m butterfly and Maia the bronze in the 17 and over 200m breaststroke.
In the distance events, Dotty Goodgame won bronze in the 17 and over 1500m freestyle to complete City’s medal haul.
