A SPECIAL school in southern Oxfordshire has been awarded the School Games Gold Mark Award, in recognition of commitment to competition among pupils.
Wantage's Fitzwaryn School is 'delighted' with the government-led award, which asked that it fulfil criteria in participation, competition, workforce and clubs.
In a statement, the school wrote: "we are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including the young volunteers, leaders and officials who made competitions possible."
