HOURLY trains have re-started between Oxford and London Paddington but one of the first services this morning was cancelled, leaving passengers 'irate'.
The station has been closed for more than a week with commuters travelling by bus to Didcot to catch their train.
A limited Great Western Railway service resumed first thing this morning only for the 7.40am to be hit by problems with 'stock displacement'.
Passengers took to Twitter to voice their frustrations, branding it 'appalling' and 'terrible'.
One said he would have to travel to Oxford Parkway by bike instead while another asked 'are you even trying any more?'
@gwrhelp One train an hour from Oxford and you cancel it? Are you even trying any more? 👏👏👏

Some fast trains to London have been running today but passengers are still having to take buses to other destinations.
Services will return to normal next Monday with further closures planned on the weekend of July 28 and 29.
@GWRHelp It's absolutely appalling that you cancelled the 7:40 from Oxford to Paddington after a week of bus replacement.

The closure is due to Network Rail carrying out track improvements and upgrading signals between Oxford and Wolvercote.
So @GWRHelp were supposed to start running again from Oxford today, bit they've cancelled the 0740 due to shortage of crew :(. Another long cycle to Parkway then.
