THE SKY is the limit for cheerleading troupe Bicester Elite Cheer United as they jet off to compete for their country.

Bicester ECU are just days away from competing in the name of Great Britain against scores of other cheerleaders in the Netherlands.

After months of hard work and practice perfecting their stunts, the group are now buzzing with excitement to impress the judges overseas.

Founder and head coach Kizzy Burt said the whole team were excited to get going.

It follows a battle for a place in the competition at the national finals at Manchester in March.

The 15 cheerleaders from Bicester battled the 'Beast from the East' storm to get there, but wowed judges and secured their place at the continental competition.

The team includes three different stunt groups who have been training three times a week for hours at a time to learn bigger and better stunts for the competition which is billed as the European Cheerleading Association's European Cheerleading Championship.

They are flying out for the competition this Saturday and Sunday in the city of 's-Hertogenbosch – also known as Den Bosch – in the state of the Southern Netherlands.

Bicester ECU also thanked their sponsors for supporting their competition efforts including Bidfood, New Beginnings removals, Simpson’s heating engineers and Bicester Freemasons.
