FEVERED speculation has continued following reports that Donald Trump could be set to visit Oxfordshire next month.
President Trump, whose visit to the UK is likely to trigger protests across the country, will visit the Queen on Friday, July 13.
But it has been reported by national newspapers that he will arrive earlier than that date for a three-day tour.
The closure of Blenheim Palace on Wednesday, July 11 and Thursday, July 12 – as listed on its website – suggests he could visit on the second day with security checks and preparations taking place on the first.
Officially, Blenheim Palace has not yet confirmed the reason for the closure.

Stephanie Duncan, its head of marketing and PR, said: “We are closed for a private event and unable to confirm any further details.”
Tom Hayes, executive board member on the city council, said President Trump will be unaware – labelling him a ‘fascist’.
Mr Hayes said: “The birthplace of Winston Churchill—the man who defended Britain and the world against fascism—shouldn’t be rolling out the red carpet for a fascist.”
Trump shouldn’t be visiting Britain and he shouldn’t be coming to Oxfordshire at @BlenheimPalace.

It is understood US government chiefs will arrive in the UK to set up the event tomorrow.
President Trump’s ‘working visit’ will take place after a Nato summit in Brussels and will include talks with Prime Minister Theresa May.
A rally held to protest against President Trump’s policies was held at Oxford Town Hall last Thursday.
Oxford West and Abingdon MP Layla Moran has already said she will protest the president's visit.
