JURORS heard how police grilled the man accused of using a car to force Christopher Lemonius into the alley where he was beaten to death.

Officers questioned Yousef Koudoua at Abingdon Police Station on June 4, just days after Mr Lemonius was killed in Blackbird Leys on June 1.

Today at Oxford Crown Court, a transcript of a conversation between police and Koudoua about Koudoua’s Audi A3 was read out.

Earlier in the trial prosecutor Stuart Trimmer QC told jurors that Koudoua had driven the car at Mr Lemonius and forced him into the alleyway at Jourdain Road where he was hacked with weapons.

The discussion initially related to some damage to Koudoua’s Audi.

He denied knowing what had caused the damage, which he had repaired the day after the murder.

The conversation then turned to the whereabouts of the car and Koudoua appeared eager to cooperate.

He said: “I want to give you anything I can. I know there’s no DNA. I would rather just give you it - I want you lot to have it.”

Koudoua continued: “The only reason I’m helping you so much is because I’m not guilty. You’re never going to get me for this because I was never there.”

He told officers his car was with his brother and asked them to contact him.

Six Oxford men all deny murder: Koudoua, Yasine Lamzini, Otman Lamzini, Rashaun Stoute, Connor Woodward and Carlos Spencer.

Allal Lamzini, Yamina Lamzini, Saffon Fakir, and a 17-year-old boy from Oxford who cannot be named for legal, reasons all deny charges of perverting the course of justice.

The trial continues.
