FAMILIES faced off in a charity basketball tournament in Abingdon on Saturday.
The three on three competition at Better's White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre was organised by South Oxfordshire Heat Basketball Club (SOHBC), with 12 teams raising £100 each to play.
The winning family was awarded £250 for their chosen charity, while £150 would be donated on behalf of the wooden spoon team.
SOHBC trustee Shiv Mahalingham said: "The tournament was a nice way to encourage participation in sport across generations whilst raising awareness for key charities that are personal to those families.
"We're grateful to Better and South Oxfordshire Council for supporting an exciting tournament that will surely take place every year from now on due to great interest from the community."
