A NEW Costa Coffee drive-thru will open today.
Lord Mayor Colin Cook will officially open the new branch of the coffee giant in Horspath Driftway at 1pm.
The new cafe proved controversial when it was approved last year with county councillor Liz Brighouse warning it may be a 'decision councillors live to regret'.
She said the project was a case of 'over-development' and will cause traffic chaos.
It comes as the Aldi opposite re-opened after a renovation and another Costa Drive-thru is nearing completion in Botley.
