HAVE you ever dreamed of being in the movies?

Now's your chance to be a star, as casting sessions for major TV and film projects arrive in in Oxford next week by the company responsible for hiring extras for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Company Uni-versalEXTRAS is heading to Oxford looking for supporting artists to join its books for feature film and television work.

The Pinewood Studios-based casting firm is one of the UK’s leading agencies and provides 'supporting artistes' to film, broadcast and commercial clients.

Organisers say there are a number of 'exciting' projects being filmed in the Oxford area in the coming months.

A recent IMDB study found Oxfordshire to be the fourth most filmed UK county.

The open casting is free to attend and any roles are paid.The only requirement is that any person attending must be over 16½ years of age with the right to work in the UK.

Amy Leyshon, Events Co-ordinator comments: ‘We work on the biggest and best feature films and have provided supporting artists for numerous projects including Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Justice League, Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Paddington 2.

"We have some exciting projects coming up in and around Oxford so are looking for people to come and register to work as a supporting artist with us. We look forward to meeting everyone.”

The casting will take place from 10am – 4pm on Saturday, June 23 at New Road Baptist Church, Bonn Square, Oxford, OX1 1LQ.
