FOOTBALL fever is taking over a shopping centre this weekend with a sticker swap-shop and Father's Day antics.

Templars Square shopping centre in Cowley will welcome avid collectors every Saturday until July 7 to swap their Panini stickers as they bid to complete this year's album.

The first swap-shop from 11am until 12pm on Saturday will also see a Father’s Day goal shoot-out where one dad will win a Toshiba HD TV to watch the World Cup, which starts on Thursday.

Located in the Main Square inside the shopping centre, the swap-shop will allow youngsters – and some grown-ups - to swap their doubles with like-minded collectors.

Owen Acland, Templars Square Centre manager, said: “Adults everywhere probably all remember how important it was to fill up that album when they were a youngster – some are still doing it in their older years.

"We wanted to get into the spirit and help those with doubles looking for swaps.

“Everyone is welcome, they just need to bring their stickers and their album. We look forward to seeing you in the centre. You might also win a replica World Cup football if you take part in a prize draw too.”

Sticker collecting has ramped up in Oxford this year with the official Panini bus visiting and the city's maths geniuses using their know-how to find the best way to fill the book.
