YOUNG music producers will gather in Oxfordshire to hone their skills before showcasing their work at a festival.

Production company and record label Upcycled Sounds is running 'Folkatron', 10 days of recording and production workshops for music producers.

The second edition of the residential will run from June 15th - 24th at Shaken Oak Studios and the Tandem Festival site, both near Witney, and there are still some places available.

Students will work under expert guidance to learn recording, production and sampling techniques.

They will record musicians from the Ethno England camp for young folk musicians from around the world.

The producers will then experiment with different audio techniques to produce a collection of 'folktronica' tracks.

This will be showcased at the three day Tandem festival before being publicly released and toured.

The last Folkatron took place in Paris in December where 10 producers created an EP called 'mais c’est quoi maman? (but what is it mama?)'
