THIS year's Littlemore Community Fun Day next month will feature a children's animal farm, martial arts demonstrations and music by 'Golden Globes DJ' Gary Smith.

The eighth annual event on Saturday, June 30, will also include 'big bubbles', face painting and a chance to win a BMX bike.

Organised as always by Littlemore Community Association, this year's fun day at Littlemore Community Centre will run from 12pm to 4pm.

Non-alcoholic refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon to keep festival-goers fuelled, and there will be more chances to part with money at a children's toy stall.

Revellers have a chance to win their money back, though, at this year's raffle which, alongside a Halford's BMX bike, includes cinema tickets and Oxford bus passes as prizes.

City councillor and environmentalist John Tanner will run a bottle stall and St John Ambulance will meet residents to explain more about their work.

The festivities will be officially opened by new Lord Mayor of Oxford Colin Cook and Oxford East MP Anneliese Dodds.

Now celebrating its 62nd anniversary, Littlemore Community Association uses the annual fun day to raise money for the upkeep of the community centre.

Entrance to the event is free as is the children’s bouncy castle.
