FRIENDS will gather to remember the life of a cyclist who was killed on a busy Oxford road last year.

The Fiesta de Claudia in Hogacre Common today will see music, games and other festivities in memory of Claudia Comberti.

The student was killed after falling from her bike in Botley Road and being struck by a bus in May 2017.

Guests will wear red bandanas in a tribute to the 31-year-old, whose trademark item of clothing now decorates bikes and trees in places she had visited around the world as an Oxford University environment student.

Ms Comberti’s father Sebastian told the Oxford Mail recently: “I think it is an absolute credit her friends are keeping her memory alive so strongly."
