A DECISION on whether to protect Oxford's ‘shark house’ for future generations will not be made until the late autumn.

Oxford City Council confirmed it had received the application to add the building in Headington to its ‘heritage asset register’.

Councillor Alex Hollingsworth, board member for planning and transport, said: “We have received a number of nominations for addition to the register this year.

“The council reviews all proposed nominations on a six-monthly basis, and the next scheduled review is in the late autumn when we will also consult the public."
