POLICE have seized £10,000 in cash and 700 wraps of class A drugs as part of an ongoing operation.

Operation Stronghold has seen a number of raids on Oxford homes in recent months with weapons and stolen items seized and vulnerable adults taken into care.

An update on the region-wide campaign was delivered by Matthew Barber, the deputy police and crime commissioner who has just begun working full time in the job.

Mr Barber, the former leader of Vale of White Horse District Council, also encouraged people to send him their views on traveller camps as part of a Government consultation into the issue.
