AN Oxford Tube caught fire on a journey to London earlier today, the company have confirmed.
Passengers had to take a replacement bus but no one was hurt, the firm added.
One disgruntled traveller said the incident took place at Junction 4 of the M40.
A spokeswoman for Oxford Tube explained: "One of our drivers detected a problem with his vehicle during a journey to London this morning. The driver pulled over and ensured all passengers exited the coach safely.
"Customers were then able to continue their journeys on a replacement coach. The fire service attended the scene as a result of the incident and there was some damage caused to our vehicle.
"Safety is our absolute priority. We will carry out a thorough investigation into the cause of this incident."
