BURGLARS smashed a hole in the wall of a South Oxfordshire sports club building and stole cash and alcohol.
Aston Rowant Cricket Club, south of Thame, was raided between 9pm on Friday night and 7.20am on Saturday.
In a witness appeal released at the weekend, police said: “Unknown offenders gained entry to the cricket club after smashing a hole in the wall.
“Cash and alcohol spirits were stolen.”
It did not give details about how much was taken or how the burglars managed to break through the wall.
It is understood to be the latest in a string of break-ins this year at the club.
Anyone who noticed anything or anyone suspicious has been asked to call 101.
