STUNNING shots by Oxfordshire-based photographers have been featured among some of the world's best food photos.
Mark Lord's image of a cow taking a moment away from her breakfast on a frosty morning in the Chiltern Hills was highly commended in the 'food in the field' category of the Food Photographer of the Year 2018 competition.
The Watlington-based photographer's image, named the Matriarch, was unveiled at the finalists exhibition in the Mall Galleries, London on Tuesday.
Thame-based photographer Deb Porter was also highly commended in the Marks & Spencer food adventures category for her image of the Thame Food Festival Meat Feast and in the food for celebration category for Happy Birthday Mum.
Judged by food photographer David Loftus and a panel of experts including Buzzfeed's global photo director Wajmar Yaqubi, the competition, sponsored by apple brand Pink Lady, saw 8,000 images entered from 60 countries.
