THE ambulance service is looking for feedback from patients and members of the public on the services it provides.

South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) will hold its latest community engagement forum on Thursday, May, 3 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm in All Saints Youth and Community Hall, Didcot.

The forum is an opportunity for patients, local people and members of the foundation trust to have their say on the service and ask questions about any new initiatives.

On the day, Ross Cornett, the acting head of operations for Oxfordshire, and Amanda Painter, head of patient experience, will take part in a question time session.

David England, the community engagement and training officer for Oxfordshire, will also talk about SCAS’ community first responder initiative that encourages people to volunteer to help in emergency situations.

The service wants people from a variety of backgrounds and ages to join the forum to help it be fully representative of the local communities it serves.

SCAS works across a 3,554 square mile area in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire, covering a population of more than four million people.

The event will conclude with a speed networking session where representatives from organisations are given a three minute slot to talk about what they do.

These groups are also welcome to bring leaflets and other materials to distribute to attendees.
